Back to Seaは、Marine Mammal Care Centerへの支援とコラボレーションにより醸造されました。同団体は、負傷や衰弱したアザラシやアシカなどの海洋哺乳類を保護・治療・リハビリし、野生へ戻すことを目的とした非営利団体です。海洋環境の保全や教育活動にも取り組んでいます。また、このビールは売上の1％を環境保護活動に寄付する「1% for the Planet」対象商品です。

Back To Sea is a classic West Coast IPA built with structure and clarity. Grapefruit peel and white peach lead, layered with subtle tropical depth and a touch of evergreen. The palate is lean and precise, with citrus oil and stone fruit over a firm, resinous backbone, finishing dry, clean, and sharply defined.
Since 1992, MMCC has treated more than 10,000 seal and sea lion patients and responds to 750-1,000 marine mammals in distress each year. They rescue more marine mammals per mile of coastline than any other organization in the country and are part of a nationwide response network, including disentangling whales trapped in fishing gear. Their work is powered by an incredible volunteer base, with roughly twenty volunteers supporting every staff member.
